Tieto Toolbox - Application framework for IN modernization

Telco operators legacy IN (Intelligent Networks) are coming to end-of-life. They are too expensive and cost driving when it comes to maintenance and development. New innovative services based on operator’s network assets are needed. Time-to-market of the services needs to be short and new business models have to be supported.

Why a Tieto Toolbox?

Tieto has participated in several IN migration projects together with different operators in Europe. With Operator’s knowledge in general and deep knowledge in both the BSS and OSS area Tieto is a very strong player, partner and integrator in this field.

In this context Tieto is now developing a Toolbox for Application framework for next generation services. Tieto Toolbox is based on Oracle OCCAS and OCSB. Oracle is considered the dominating player for application framework and IN modernization.

Customers are repeatedly and increasingly demanding ”products” and readymade solution.

Tieto Toolbox is the answer to these demands! Tieto Toolbox is built on best practice and the solution is based on components easy to combine and implement for new customers and demands. Tieto Toolbox gives a kick start in new projects, the project doesn’t have to start from scratch which secures a short time-to-market.

Tieto does already have the basis for the Toolbox and now the development continues.

The next drop of the toolbox will be released in August 2011 and will contain more components among those Facebook integration, Mulibrand, Multilanguage and visualization of new components.

Coming quarterly releases will include more call routing options, IVR/MRF integration and web service integration as well as new services such as Cloud Services and Content Services.
