Tieto to supply EDI Transaction services to EMIX's customers

Swedenergy (Svensk Energi) and Energy Market Information Exchange (EMIX) have selected Tieto as partner to deliver Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions services to EMIX's customers in Sweden. For the customers this means a more cost efficient service delivery and a strategic co-operation to meet future market requirements.

EMIX AB is jointly owned and financed by Swedish utility companies. Currently EMIX delivers EDI transaction services to more than 140 utility customers in Sweden. Following the new agreements, Tieto will supply transaction services to EMIX's customers.

Currently Vattenfall, E.ON, Fortum and Göteborg Energi use Tieto´s transaction services. Now also EMIX customers connected to the new service will get the benefit of lower operational costs and sharing of future development.

As the selected strategic development partner Tieto's intention is to support customers in the transformation to a Nordic Common Retail market. More value added services will be offered to support utility processes for meter data management, billing, customer management and financial clearing between market actors.
