Tieto to provide IT service production and development support for Arek

Tieto will start providing the support functions for service production and development for Arek, a Finnish company specialized in services for the pension insurance sector. The company is streamlining its service structure with the aim of improving cost efficiency and speeding up the development of existing services. The contract will be valid for a period of five years.

Tieto will provide Arek with production support, customer testing and pre-approval testing support and management of IT environments and tools. The contract will incorporate support services for system building and maintenance. Tieto will take over these tasks as of 1 February 2012.

"The overall responsibility for services will now be with a single provider, which will simplify our operations and improve the efficiency of our service structure. Our aim is to improve the cost efficiency of services through active development," says Matti Ylilammi, Arek's CEO.
